Stewardship

The aim of Stewardship

Is to provide the church with financial resources to help it fulfil its mission. Our income pays for our priests, the support of the diocese, for the upkeep of the church building, and for all the things necessary for public worship, such as music, candles, mass sheets, incense etc.

Please prayerfully consider that you are tithing 5% of your income to our life here, or positively working towards doing so.

Standing Order

The most effective way of doing this is by standing order. This allows you to regularly give a set amount with no further action needed, and it helps to us to budget effectively. To do this you can print off one of the standing order forms below (you can download either PDF or Word) and send it to your bank. Or you can use the details in the form to set up the standing order using your online banking service.

Envelopes

You can give weekly using the envelope scheme. Each year you are given a set of envelopes covering each week, into which you place your donation to be offered when you come into church. As we will have your envelope number on file, each donation can be gift-aided easily. Using envelopes is a useful way of setting aside your donation each week. Please get in touch if you’d like to give in this way.

Contactless Donations

We are introducing contactless payments using a card reader, just like you see in shops. In the current climate this prevents both you and us having to handle cash. The contactless payment machine is available to use on a Sunday and accepts all major cards, as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay on smartphones.

Online Donations

You can also make a one-off donation by clicking here, or by scanning the QR code to the left to take you to the donation page. This will take you to a different website.

This service is provided by Parish Buying (a service provided for the Church of England) using SumUp and Give a Little, and is a secure way of giving online.

Using the online system is very similar to the contactless payments. All you have to do is select the amount you wish to donate (or choose another amount) and then on the next screen enter your credit card details.
